A ritualistic, archetypal, and soulful approach to photography

Asheville Photographer René Treece

portrait of Ashville photographer René Treece

I’m René,

I am an Asheville-based portrait photographer. I specialize in nature-based children’s, family, and women's portraiture, fine art printing, branding photography that captures the essence of people’s craft, and fine art encaustic work.

I strive to create images that stir and satiate the human desire for connection. Through my narrative work, I search for the subtle and fleeting pulse of the collective unconscious.  My work feeds the eyes in hopes of stirring the soul.  In my photography, I search for a commonality in story, archetype, and emotion

I believe when a person gazes upon their portrait gracing the walls of their home, it's not merely an image, but a testament to their sense of belonging. It's a reflection of love, appreciation, and adoration that envelops them, nurturing their spirit and affirming their place in the world.
