Hurricane Helene Response: We are heartbroken by the devastation brought by Hurricane Helene. Our studio building in the River Arts District was flooded but we hope to return someday. In the meantime we are using photography to tell the stories that need to be told.

For Now…..

Like so many others, we’re navigating the overwhelming loss and the long road to recovery. Over the next few months, I’m dedicating my time to community volunteering, offering pro bono photography for families and businesses that have lost everything.

Impact data: So far, I have helped raise 113,784.00 for affected people in Western North Carolina who are in need of emergency support.

This event has shaken us to our core, but it has also shown us the incredible power of people coming together. It’s not just about art—it’s about lives, homes, and families.

We’ve seen entire neighborhoods washed away, families searching for their loved ones, and businesses lost to the floodwaters. The weight of this feels immense. But in the face of all this, I’m seeing something else: neighbors gathering in streets and on porches, sharing food, offering support, and lifting each other up.

We are a community in every sense of the word.

Rivers surged through the heart of countless communities, leaving deep scars in their wake. The water may have receded, but the impact is still felt. For now, the focus is on healing our community—on rebuilding homes, helping families, and standing with those who have lost so much.

Please continue to support not just me, but all the artists and all the people here who have been affected. We need your help through the holidays and in the years to come. Western North Carolina, and the people who make it so special, will come back stronger—but we can’t do it alone.

I don’t know what more to do except keep going. Source and share missing supplies, deliver generators, heaters, coats and sleeping bags for warmth, hug strangers, check on neighbors, and make people laugh where I can. And through it all, I am reminded that we are still here, still moving forward.

Here are three ways you can support us during this time:

  • Helebore Flower

    Purchase Fine Art Prints!

You can support by purchasing my fine art prints. All proceeds will go directly to helping us rebuild our studio after this catastrophic event.

  • Support My Studio / Family

You can contribute directly to the recovery of my studio and family. Your contribution will help cover lost income, moving and storage costs, and the rebuilding of a temporary space so I can continue offering portrait and branding sessions as we rebuild and recover.

  • Support Community Relief Efforts

I’ve dedicated my Venmo account to collecting funds for local relief efforts. So far, we’ve used donations to purchase thousands of dollars’ worth of supplies, including generators, life straws, headlamps, food, first aid kits, and cleaning supplies for those hardest hit by the hurricane. This fund goes directly to those in need.

In this time of rebuilding, you can support my work by

1. Contributing directly to my Go Fund Me,

2. Purchasing fine art prints

3. Hiring me for a future session.

Your support will help us continue to help others and eventually rebuild and regain stability. Your generosity will allow us to continue helping those affected by this disaster, both through my photography and by providing hands-on assistance to those most in need.

So far, we have helped raise 113,784.00 for local people in Western North Carolina who experienced catastrophic loss from the storm.

So much heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has helped so far!
